The Hong Kong Climate Change Coalition cordially invites you to join us for a short presentation on the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U 2009) and a discussion of how you can get involved in the issues of climate change and campus sustainability at HKU.

HKCCC, the first Hong Kong-based, youth-driven climate action network, was formed in 2007, after several of our founding members attended the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bali, Indonesia (UNFCCC, COP13/CMP3).

Last month, two of our Executive Councilors had the privilege to attend the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) at the University of Texas-Austin. Established by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, CGI U brought together 1,000 students from over 60 countries for discussions of climate change, energy efficiency, and campus-based sustainability work. In attending, they extended and strengthened our international network and partnerships, and renewed their commitment to the fight against climate change!

Please join us to find out more about CGI U 2009 and help us to build a campus-wide effort at HKU.

All are welcome!
